Thor Duct® Evo – Fire-Rated Ductwork for Compact Spaces

Thor Duct® Evo is a lighter, thinner configuration of the Thor Duct® range—engineered to outperform traditional systems in tighter spaces.


Designed to simplify installation and improve efficiency, Thor Duct® Evo uses 30% less metal and 70% less insulation than standard systems, reducing overall complexity without compromising fire resistance. The duct comes factory-wrapped with 25mm calcium silicate insulation, encapsulated in a durable silver foil finish for long-lasting protection and performance.


External stiffening has been eliminated, making the system ideal for confined or congested installation zones such as compact plant-rooms, shafts, or retrofit projects.

This CPD explores how the new 25mm insulation system addresses space constraints on site while maintaining exceptional fire performance (EI60–EI180). With the option for in-house manufacture and insulation, the system also supports the growing demand for off-site construction.
