Driving Sustainability

A.C. Manufacturing Ltd. is proud to be part of the Lindab Group, sharing the same commitment to sustainability. We believe that doing business responsibly is not optional — it’s essential. At A.C. Manufacturing, we embed sustainability in every aspect of our value chain: from sourcing raw materials to production, logistics, and community engagement.

Sustainable Sourcing

We integrate social, environmental, ethical, and health & safety criteria when selecting our suppliers.

  • We have zero tolerance for corruption and violations of human rights.

  • We prioritise suppliers who invest in low-carbon and fossil-free steel and have strong CO₂ intensity metrics.

  • Wherever feasible, we source from democratic countries within Europe to reduce risk and increase transparency.

  • Our goal is to have 100% of suppliers adhere to our code of conduct and be certified to defined standards.

Sustainable Production

We continuously strive to make our manufacturing operations more sustainable. Key focus areas include:

  • Improving energy efficiency across all facilities (production units, offices, and stores)

  • Increasing use of renewable energy

  • Reducing overall energy consumption

  • Minimising scrap/waste, and using upcycling or recycling where possible

  • Optimising smart packaging to reduce material use

We’ve set measurable goals, such as:

  • Cutting CO₂e emissions (scope 1 & 2) by 50% (relative to 2019 levels) by 2030

  • Reducing the scrap rate by 50% (vs. 2019 baseline)

  • Defining and tracking scope 3 emissions (indirect emissions)

  • Setting targets to reduce waste sent to landfill

Sustainable Transportation & Logistics

Transportation is among the most significant contributors to emissions in our operations. To mitigate this, we plan to:

  • Transition to renewable fuel vehicles or electric vehicles, aiming for full adoption in future years

  • Shift to low-emission or electric company cars by 2030

  • Ensure that all transport contracts include environmental requirements (by a target year)

  • Move production closer to end customers when feasible, reducing distance travelled

  • Collaborate with suppliers and customers on more eco-efficient route planning and shared delivery models
